The mountains of West Texas range from the Texas / New Mexico border down to the Texas / Mexico border at the Rio Grande and the Chihuahua desert.
The landscape gives wide plains with mountains in the distance and big skies above. Drive on the Texas Mountain Trail from Carlsbad to Van Horn, past the Davis Mountains and then into the Big Bend National Park, via Marfa and Lajitas into the Chisos Mountains.
These photos were taken with an Olympus E-PL1 in November, 2011 and a Pentax K5 in June, 2013.
